Stevia is an intensely sweet-tasting plant that has been used to sweeten beverages and make tea since the 16th century.
People take stevia for obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.
Stevia grows well in sandy loam soils with an ample supply of water. Stevia prefers acidic to neutral soil with a pH range of 6.5-7.5 for its best growth.
Water once the top inch of soil becomes dry, but don't let the soil become soggy.
